Candlelight Vigil for Our Country and for Our Community in Remembrance of the Victims of the Orlando Massacre

First Plymouth Congregational Church is hosting an ecummenical service on Thursday evening June 16 at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. This service is a candlelight vigil for our country and our community to come together in remembrance of the victims of the Orlando shootings.
Everyone is welcome – please join us.

DENVER’S OLDEST BLACK CHURCH TO CALL THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER TO REMEMBER THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE EMANUEL AME CHURCH SHOOTING MASSACRE
Shorter Community AME Church, the sister church to Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC, to mark the one year anniversary of the Emmanuel Church Massacre on Friday
Shorter Community AME Church will host an ecumenical prayer service to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Emanuel AME Church shooting massacre in Charleston, South Carolina on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 7:05 PM (MST). The shooting took place at approximately 9:05 PM (EST). Those gathered will also pause to remember the members of the LGBT community who were gunned down in Orlando. Dr. Timothy Tyler, A friend and colleague of some of the the Charleston victims, and the Pastor of Shorter Community AME Church stated that this will be a time of reflection and refueling as we look to the Creator for strength.
This event will take place at Shorter Community AME Church, 3100 Richard Allen Court, Denver, and is open to the community
