Exhibit Opening and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration

El Pueblo History Museum opens the award-winning Proclaiming Colorado’s Black History exhibition on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 12:30 pm. Join us for the opening of this traveling exhibition from the Museum of Boulder which explores the history and accomplishments of Black Coloradans throughout our great state. This event is in collaboration with the NAACP and the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. march that begins at 12:00 pm at Rawlings Library, 100 E. Abriendo Ave., and ends at El Pueblo History Museum. Speakers will begin at 12:30 pm with special guests from Pueblo’s community and the creators and contributors to this exceptional display of Colorado’s rich history. The exhibit will be open to the public during the celebration.
