CLOSE TO HOME “101” TRAINING

WHEN:           Friday, March 23rd, 2018, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Core Training Session

WHERE:      Martin Luther King Jr. Library, 9898 E. Colfax Ave., Aurora, CO, 2nd Floor – Board Room

WHO:              CLOSE TO HOME partners who are new to the campaign or would like a refresher, and community stakeholders invited by CLOSE TO HOME partners

WHAT:            

The two-hour training session will provide participants with an understanding of core elements of the campaign, including:

o   Campaign focus, approach and strategic partners

o   Core messaging – what they are and how to use them

o   Key audiences – who they are and how to reach them

o   Movement building – how to encourage citizen engagement

o   Storytellers Network – what it is and how to grow it and engage storytellers

o   Materials – a review of campaign materials and resources

PLEASE NOTE: Participants may stay on for all or a portion of a third hour for individual or small group discussions, practice with messaging or to receive support on certain aspects of the campaign.
