Today, the Colorado Council of Churches launches its new blog (A)Cross Colorado. We gave the blog this name because we are intentional about maintaining a Christian focus while incorporating voices from all around our state. At this point, we have three people who have volunteered to blog, but we could always use more perspectives. We need more bloggers who live in different parts of the state, women, people of color and young people in college or high school. Our goal is simply this–to create an online, sacred community where people can witness and write about their Christian faith and the vital social justice issues of the day.
Guidelines for blog post submissions
- Please use original material. If you get material from any third party, it should be properly attributed.
- Be creative! A sermon summary, nice poem, video or music file would do nicely as long as it is original material.
- Keep it short. The closer your submission is to 500 words, the better.
- Keep it consistent with the our values. Take a look at our public policy statements for guidance.
- Make sure your post is grammatically correct and free of spelling errors.
- We are not interested in promoting your business, but we are excited to promote what is happening at your church.
- Please include a 2-3 sentence author bio so that we may learn more about you.
The CCC is not compensating guest bloggers at this time.
If you don’t want to be a regular blogger, we certainly invite you submit a guest blog post when the Spirit moves you. We can’t guarantee that every submission will be posted, but we’ll do the best we can. We want to hear from you!
