Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of reflection, renewal, and returning to God with honest and open hearts.
Today, as Christians across Colorado receive ashes, we’re reminded of a profound truth:
“From dust you came, and to dust you shall return.” (Genesis 3:19)
Not as a message of despair, but as an invitation to live with intention, compassion, and humility.
We honor the diverse ways our member denominations and churches observe this sacred day. Whether through worship, prayer, fasting, or acts of service, may this season draw us closer to God and to one another.
May we walk these 40 days with courage, justice, and love, seeking healing for ourselves, our communities, and our world.
