SUMMARY:Bystander Training
DESCRIPTION:When you witness a harmful situation\, what do you do? This is called being a bystander\, and learning to intervene on harm as a bystander requires more practice and tools than many might think. It is quite easy to fall into the bystander effect\, where we ignore\, flee\, or freeze in situations of harm\, and look to others to resolve it. This training will train attendees on the bystander effect\, the reasons it happens\, and how to engage in bystander intervention practices to mitigate harm. Participants will also have an opportunity to think through several realistic scenarios and how to apply new learnings to bystander situations.
